What's Up? An Update on Us

I thought I would use this blog as a chance to update everyone one what's been going on with our family the last couple months.

Our second daughter, Julianne, was born on April 25th at 4:01pm after 11 hours of labor in Gulfport, MS.  It was unfortunate that my Mom and Sister had to go back to TN that morning after spending Easter weekend with us but at least we had time with them!  Julie has been quite the blessing of course but it has definitely been challenging with two little ones 16 months apart.  You have no idea how little sleep you can survive on until you have kids!  Big sister, Allison, has taken on her role after a week of not being sure of her baby sister.  My hope for them is to become best friends.  I'm happy for them to have a sibling so close in age.

The girls and I visited my Mom and Sis last month for a couple weeks.  Seeing family and friends really made me miss TN that much more. :(  I am so glad I got to see the ones I did though.  I miss you all so much!  I'm not sure right now of when we will get a chance to get back up there for a visit

Julie just started school yesterday with her sister.  It was hard to leave her because no one can take care of your kids as well as you can of course but I had to go back to work.

We also moved Memorial Day weekend to an apartment in Biloxi (St. Martin), MS.  It is very nice have 3 bedroom on one floor!  Our townhouse in Long Beach just wasn't baby friendly.  We moved out of our townhouse at the end of March and moved in with Brian's parents.  Between the uncertainty of Brian's job and the arrival of Julianne, it was a blessing to be able to have to option and save the money.

Brian has been steadily working on his Bachelor's Degree since January 2009.  I'm very thankful for the GI Bill.  Free college is definitely a blessing!  I can honestly say I am not jealous and glad I have my 5 years finished.  I'm very proud of how hard he is been working to knock out his classes.  He is still working as a contractor for the Navy as a day job.

Next week will be my one year anniversary at the insurance agency where I am an account manager.  I cannot believe it has already been a year!

As you can see we've had a lot going on just being a family and continue to be blessed every day.  I'm going to try to use this blog to keep everyone updated on the happenings with our family since our friends and family are scattered all over.

Love to you all!
